The city's project to repave sections of K Avenue, 20th Street and Dakota Avenue has been delayed a week due to the contractor's scheduling.
Work had been scheduled to start April 19, but will now start Monday, April 26.
Residents may see no parking signs posted the week prior to allow for the required 72-hour no parking advance notice.
Street sections to be repaved:
K Avenue from 12th to 20th Street
20th Street from I to K Avenue
Dakota Avenue from West 2nd to 200 feet north of Oakes Avenue including the Oakes Avenue intersection
Construction is expected to take approximately a month, but is weather dependent. There will be periods of no parking on streets along the project roadways, and intermittent short term road closures with traffic detours.
Access to neighborhoods will be maintained with flagging traffic control as much as possible.
