[ARCHIVED] Paving project

As part of its ongoing asphalt preservation program, the City has contracted with Granite Construction to repave K Avenue from 12th Street to 20th Street, 20th Street from I Avenue to K Avenue, and Dakota Avenue from West 2nd to 200 feet north of Oakes Avenue including the Oakes Avenue intersection.
The project will involve grinding existing pavement, pavement repairs, placement of new asphalt, and pavement striping.
Construction is expected to begin the week of April 19 and take approximately a month. The exact schedule of construction activities will be weather dependent.
During construction there will be periods of no parking on streets along the project roadways, and intermittent short term road closures with traffic detours.
Access to neighborhoods will be maintained with flagging traffic control as much as possible
Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation while we make these necessary improvements to these roadways.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact project manager Tim Hohmann or 360-588-8068.
