[ARCHIVED] Temporary Shutdown of the City of Anacortes Water Treatment Plant and transmission system:

20.10.06 waterline prepped to go in drilled tunnel under river

A planned shutdown of the city’s water treatment plant and the supply of water to its transmission system is scheduled from 8 am to 8 pm, Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020. The reason for the shutdown is to make connections to a new secondary raw water line, which will bring water from the Skagit River to the plant.

Water customers should not experience any interruption in normal water service. However, because of the length of the shutdown, we encourage you to practice water conservation measures throughout the day.

If you have any questions or concerns about the planned shutdown, please call 360-428-1598 or email brianm@cityofanacortes.org.
