[ARCHIVED] Waterline replacement project:

OakesAve

As part of the City’s waterline replacement program, Summit X Contractors has been hired to install 1,578 feet of 12-inch waterline on the south side of Oakes Avenue from Baltimore to Florida Avenue.  Additionally, 238 feet of 8-inch waterline will be installed on Dakota Avenue to the north of Oakes Avenue. Three new fire hydrants will be installed as well.
The project is scheduled to begin the week of October 19 and is expected to take 4-5 weeks. The work will typically be 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, although construction may be allowed during weekends if necessary. There may be traffic detours and road closures to allow for the work.
