When the schools announced they were going to have remote learning this fall, Anacortes Parks and Recreation contacted the Anacortes School District about ways to get kids outside and moving. Camp Active is the result of this collaboration. Kids in grades 1 thorough 8 can sign up for 30 minutes sessions twice a week to play games and exercise with other students. There is no fee to participate, but masks and social distancing are required. The Camp started on September 22 and so far about 170 have signed up.
