[ARCHIVED] APD's K-9, T-Bone Eligible for Grant

Voting for the Aftermath K9 Grant started today! This grant is awarded to the top seven nominated US law enforcement agencies/K9 teams based on popular vote, and our very own narcotics detection K9, T-Bone (@k9.tbone), is counting on your vote!

Voting will remain open until November 3 at 11:59 PM CST. Legal residents of the US ages 6 and older and eligible to vote, and voting via the Aftermath website can be done every 24 hours (literally 24 hours have to pass between votes). You may additionally vote once daily on Instagram. Detailed voting instructions are below.

How to vote – Aftermath website

  • Visit
  • Click the region where the K9 is located. For K9 T-Bone, this would be West.
  • Find the Anacortes Police Department photo (use the left and right arrows at the bottom of the page to scroll between nominees if you don’t see the photo).
  • Click the picture to see the full size photo.
  • Click “Vote”.
  • Enter your first and last name along with your email address and select the “reCAPTCHA” box (this information will not be saved, it’s used to insure that you are a real person and that you can vote once every 24 hours).
  • Click “Vote”.
  • Consider sharing your vote via social media!

How to vote – Instagram

  • Visit and follow the Aftermath K9 Grant Instagram page, @aftermathk9grant.
  • Find the daily K9 Grant post.
  • Like the post, and write in the comments that you are voting for the Anacortes Police Department and K9 T-Bone (@k9.tbone).
