The Civil Service Commission has one vacancy open for an alternate commissioner.
Alternate commissioners are mayor-appointed positions and serve for three years from the date of first appointment. Alternate commissioners participate in the debate and the deliberations of the commission on the regular business of the commission and can serve fully in meetings when a commissioner is absent.
A background in human resources, labor relations, and management is preferred.
