Anacortes Community Forest Lands Vandalism

The Anacortes Community Forest Lands has seen a steady amount of beaver dam vandalism over the last few weeks. In particular, a dam just upstream from the #106 bridge has been repeatedly destroyed. Please know that any human activity on our beaver dams is illegal, unless properly permitted by the City of Anacortes and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. All permitted maintenance must be performed by City of Anacortes staff, or a legal contractor. If you have any information regarding this recent vandalism, please contact Parks & Rec Assistant Director Bob Vaux @ 360/588-8233 or bobv@cityofanacortes.org.

We thank you for your vigilance and reminding your friends and neighbors to do the right thing!
