On Monday, May 16, Summit X Construction Inc. will replace two inoperable water valves in the 12th Street and D Avenue intersection.
To allow for this work, there will be a water shutdown from 8:30 am to 3 pm. The customers directly affected by this shutdown have been notified.
Once work is completed and water is turned on, there may be discoloration or air in the water distribution lines serving the surrounding area.
If you live in this area and are experiencing one of these issues, here a few simple steps to help clear things up.
1. Flush water out of an outside hose bib. It could clear up in as quick as 30 seconds or as along as 5 minutes.
Or
2. Flush the cold water of a downstairs bathtub.
