ASD Student Library Account

Every student in the Anacortes School District is automatically a member of the Anacortes Public Library as long as they're enrolled in K-12. Your Library account is your Student ID number, and you do not need a physical library card to checkout books. Click here for FAQs and to find out when your student will have an active Library account if they're new to ASD this year.

Banned Books Week

Oct 1 - 7

Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. Here at APL, we'll have displays sharing what books are often challenged, and celebrate our freedom to read. Join us on Wednesday, October 4 for a special teen banned books event with our librarian at 2:00 pm, or attend a public program at 6:00 pm with our Community Service Officer, Brent Lindquist to find out why his recent reading of Fahrenheit 451 opened his eyes to the power of access to information for all, followed by a Q&A with our teen and adult librarians.
