FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM - DUE OCT 20, 2021
City of Anacortes Utility Billing – COVID-19 FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM
On March 19, 2020, Governor Inslee issued a proclamation that waived late fees and suspended shutoffs of utilities for lack of payment by customers who were economically impacted by this emergency.
This moratorium on utility shutoffs ends September 30, 2021.
For customers whose ability to pay their utility bill was impacted by the Covid-19 Pandemic, and who, as a result are currently unable to pay the outstanding balance on their account, the City of Anacortes is implementing a COVID-19 Financial Support Program.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM
City of Anacortes utility customers can apply for this program, and if approved, will be granted a one-time 100 percent forgiveness on the outstanding balances owed to the City of Anacortes, upon approval by the Mayor, on a case-by-case basis, based on customer’s need caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Customers will be required to complete the Financial Support Program Request Application attached to this policy (link below). All applicants must be utility customers of the City of Anacortes to qualify.
