Summer Reading is for everyone –kids, teens, and adults. Our theme this year is Reading Colors Your World. We invite you to get creative, explore art, try new things, and find beauty in diversity!

How to Participate

Set your own reading goal and log your reading throughout the summer. When you are halfway through, visit us to claim your halfway prize starting August 15. When you reach your reading goal, visit us for a free prize book and enter to win our grand prize drawing. Prize books are available through the month of August. Play the bonus bingo sheet for more chances to win.


We will have a halfway prize and a new book to choose at the end of summer reading. When you finish your bingo sheet or reading log, you will also be entered into our grand prize drawing.

Bingo Sheets - You can print a copy at home or stop by the library to get a paper copy.

Important Dates

  • July 15 - Halfway prizes are available in the Children’s Library –bring your reading log!
  • August 1 to 31 - Prize book pickup begins the first of August and continues all month.
  • September 7 - Grand prize winner notified.


Special Programs

Throughout the summer there will be three virtual STEAM classes.

  • June 28 @10am - All About Colors - Learn about mixing colors and make a color wheel using a CD!
  • July 12 @10am - What About Water? - Investigate what sinks and what floats!
  • July 26 @10am - Leap into Science: Light & Shadows - Explore the world of light and shadow!

  • Tuesdays @6pm - Family Storytime—all ages
  • Wednesdays @10am - Be Creative with Ria—all ages
  • Thursdays @6pm - Pajama Storytime—all ages
  • Fridays @6pm - Toddler Storytime—birth to 3

Circle Art

We invite everyone to participate in our circle art project this summer.  An awesome window display will be the result of your efforts. What will your creative brain think of?

Teen Summer Reading

Summer reading is all about self-care for teens this year! Teens can enter to win the grand prize by completing their summer reading goals and by attending any of our upcoming series of self-care workshops on art, writing, health and more featuring special guests from our community.
